Hello friends....I would like for you to meet Lou.  Of  course this is not his real name, so that we might protect his privacy.  He is ten years old and from China.  I have never met Lou personally but he is one of the orphans that Bring Me Hope ministers to.  He is a precious little guy with a great personality.  He is quite a jokester and has a fun sense of humor.  His special need is that he is deaf.  He attends a boarding school for deaf children during the week, and he has a foster family with other children on the weekends.  He communicates well through sign language, as do his foster family members.  This will be a valuable asset when Lou meets his family God has selected for him.  He is super intelligent with the computer.  He loves cars, cartoons, and building things with building blocks.  He has a fabulous relationship with both of his foster parents.  He is very smart and willing to help with housework or other chores.  He is noted as quite a gentleman.  When he goes grocery shopping with his foster mom, he always points to the heaviest bags and says, "Mom, I am Superman, I will help you carry that!"  This little guy will do wonderful in a forever family!
Lou is looking for a forever family in this photo!!! Does he see you and your family in his future?
Can you assist me by forwarding this to anyone you may know who is interested.  Please feel free to put this on facebook or any other form of social media.  The name has been changed for protection.   I can be reached at mrsmel2682@gmail.com if you need to ask further questions.

Thank you for sharing in Lou's information.  Please pray about his future.  Contact me if you have any interest or forward to anyone who might be seeking a son!  Feel free to respond to the comment page of this website if you need or want to share something.  Thanks and love, Melanie

The rewards!!!

As bring me hope camp closes for me tonight, I struggle to blog while the hall is full of over twenty young Chinese students who have served as our translators chat and say goodbyes. We have worked so hard hand in hand meeting the needs of these special kids. Now we can finally think clearly and speak without wondering who may be pottying in their pants or running away to play without permission!!! The blessings are endless and the rewards overwhelming. My two girls are very close to forever families. Hui will be at home with a family soon. Fujies paperwork is almost complete so I will keep blogging for families who are potential parents!!!

Swimmers!!!

The theme for the week has been "love like an ocean". Well today I experienced Eph. 3:18 how long and wide and high and deep is the Fathers love. I was my two babies learn to faith as they learned to trust me and let go and swim. HuiHui swims great now. All the way across the Olympic pool. And my precious Fujie back floated for 2 hours in a life jacket with NO fear!!! A beautiful life picture from above!!! No cameras in the pool area so no photos to share...sorry😂

My babies!!!

We went shopping today. The girls first time ever!!!

So we have gone from the above attire to the below attire.

We are taking a brief rest then going to the movies in Chinese!!! Can I say nap time for adults!!! Going to purchase popcorn for all the campers with my SBC VBS money. I think our American kids would want them to have popcorn with their mission offering. Just a side note....the popcorn costs 2 times what the movie does but they've never had popcorn before!!! I will post pics tonight. Love to all!!!! I'm feeling much better by the way!!!!

A new friend Tony a translator became a brother in the wee hours this morning. Remember Alexus and Jeffery as they are seeking. Special translator and brother in the Word, Tony (old) was instrumental in his decision. Flying Saturday. Love you all and thanks for encouragement and cards.

The miracle of Seattle/Beijing

In all my excitement, I failed to share another Father story. On our LONG flight from Seattle to Beijing, after a 3-4 hour wait on a mechanically challenged plane that soon became a transfer to a healthy plane, we had a great experience. As we enjoyed dinner, we noticed a couple beside us saying a blessing. I later wrote them a note asking if they were with Bring Me Hope and going to help orphans. They sent back a note saying they were followers from Atlanta, GA but going to adopt their 4 year old son to complete their family with 3 girls. How excited we were to share blessings for each others journeys. We ask you to remember Jared and Cindy Martin as they receive their son. We said goodnight and goodbye, only to have Father put us together again 2 times in Beijing of 15 million people. We did the cloisonné factory and the Great Wall together!!!
